Steven Lubner

Steven, a Wisconsin native, grew up exploring the natural world via lakes and rivers. He attended Saint John’s University in Minnesota, studying secondary education and environmental science. While there he discovered his passion for guiding by leading wilderness trips into Superior National Forest and surrounding areas.

Steven made his way to Wyoming in 2013. For many summers, he helped run a youth camp in Jackson. In the winter, he teaches alpine skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Steven’s love of teaching and the natural environment has led him into guiding. He hopes that in providing meaningful connections and lasting memories, he will inspire people to keep these special places protected for generations to come.

When he is not guiding, Steven can most often be found skiing, fishing, backpacking, or paddling in the vast array of surrounding public land.

Steven is a certified Wilderness First Responder; a PSIA certified Alpine, Cross Country, & Children’s Instructor; and a certified NAI Interpretive Guide.
