Rafael Sandoval

Raised in both the desert of Saudi Arabia and the Texas suburbia, Rafael spent his childhood exploring the natural world and discovering an admiration for the many wild creatures that inhabit it. Not knowing where his passions would take him, he attended Baylor University to graduate with a B.S. in Environmental Science. Rafael’s following year was spent fishing and hiking the coastal rainforests of Washington state while employed as a fisheries technician for Washington Fish & Wildlife. As if studying and working with gorgeous Pacific salmon every day was not enough, he packed his bags for the mountains of western Wyoming to help the state’s native cutthroat trout.

Backpacking, biking, and fishing in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter are how Rafael spends his days off when not guiding for EcoTour Adventures. With a passion for both wildlife conservation and wildlife photography, Rafael hopes to help you discover the hidden beauty of the Teton Valley, to create memorable moments with wildlife, and help capture those memories from behind the lens of a camera.
