Amelia grew up in Land O’Lakes, Florida where she loved to canoe the Hillsborough River and explore the swamps with her dad. Her true love for the outdoors flourished while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. She later worked for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy in the Great Smoky Mountains as a Ridegrunner – a boots-on-the-ground Leave No Trace Educator and trail maintainer.
Outside of work, Amelia enjoys backpacking, hiking, road cycling and skiing with her husband, Ricky.
Amelia is certified in First Aid/ CPR and is a certified Leave No Trace instructor.
