Mark was born and raised in the small town of York, Nebraska. Discovering the natural world through hunting, fishing and camping at a young age led him to earn a B.S. degree in Wildlife Management at the University of Nebraska. Mark spent 33 years with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department working as a Habitat Biologist, Public Affairs Specialist and photographer.
Mark has lived and photographed wildlife in Jackson Hole for 30 years. “I try to get out for sunrise most days,” says Mark. “Because you just never know what you might see, from a fleeting glimpse of a wolf to a spectacular scene of the Tetons. Spending time in wild places has always been at my core. I can easily spend hours quietly observing wildlife in their natural environment, and sharing these kinds of experiences with others is especially gratifying.”
