Alexis’ deep connection with nature began as early as she can remember: between catching frogs with her bare hands and digging for worms behind her childhood home in New Jersey, she has always felt most like herself in the outdoors. And from the moment she received her first camera, she was drawn to capture the environment around her. After receiving a degree in Illustration at the University of Connecticut, Alexis realized that she would be most fulfilled in a career that allowed her to engage directly with the natural world.
That’s why, after graduating, she headed out to Alaska to pursue naturalist guiding. The 6 months she spent living and working in the last frontier solidified that guiding was the right path for her. Being able to share her knowledge of these profoundly wild ecosystems has been more fulfilling than she ever imagined, and with her passion for art and photography informing how she sees the world around her, Alexis is able to offer a unique perspective to her guests.
While guiding you through the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, Alexis hopes to foster an appreciation for the Earth and the animals we share it with, and to remind you that we are not separate from nature – we are a part of it.
